1 kg ripe tomatoes,
Fresh mozzarella (buffalo milk if possible),
Fresh basil leaves, hand-shredded (8-10 or to taste),
Olive oil, to taste,
Salt and Pepper.


Slice the tomatoes; slice the mozzarella and lay them over the tomatoes. Season with olive oil, basil and a little salt and pepper. Serve immediately with crostini, you may also add capers and black olives.
