Ingredients:

1 sheet ready-rolled puff pastry,
25 gr granulated sugar,
500 gr sliced strawberries,
300 ml crème pâtissière,
5 tablespoons Grand Marnier liqueur.

Preparation:

Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Arrange the sheet of puff pastry on a tray and prick the surface with a fork. Sprinkle with some sugar. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside to cool.
In the meantime thoroughly wash the strawberries and cut them in halves. In pan, heat the Grand Marnier liqueur. Add the strawberries and the remaining caster sugar and cook for 2 minutes – the juices should form a syrup. Remove from the heat and leave to cool. Just before serving, spread the baked pastry evenly with the crème pâtissière. Arrange the strawberries decoratively over the top and drizzle over the strawberry syrup.
